Billing and plans

Fanzava has six plans. Every plan runs tipping competitions, sets your logo and colours, and includes the Banter Board, leaderboards and shareable links. Brackets, watermark removal and everything beyond that start on a paid plan.

The Fanzava pricing page is the authority on plan names, prices and caps. This page mirrors it.

Fantasy is not open to participants yet, so those figures are the limits that will apply when it opens. They will count every fantasy competition the hub holds, including drafts and finished ones, until it is deleted. A Season Pass or Bracket Pass will not add fantasy. See Fantasy overview.

A participant is any person who has accepted an invitation and joined your hub, regardless of whether they’ve tipped yet. Pending invitations (sent but not accepted) do not count.

If you remove a participant from your hub, they no longer count against your limit.

Hitting your participant cap does not force an upgrade. Capacity is one continuous curve and the plans are feature checkpoints along it, so you add players in blocks of 50 and stay where you are.

Between Per block of 50
Starter and Growth A$8.67
Growth and Pro A$8.00
Pro and Scale A$6.40
Above Scale A$6.40, no ceiling

Billing uses exact derived seat rates; the figures above are rounded for display. Past 1,000 participants seats continue at A$0.128 each while an Enterprise conversation starts in parallel.

When your added capacity reaches the next plan’s cap, the hub flips to that plan automatically: the price is what you were already paying, and the plan’s features switch on.

The slider is on every paid plan. Free is hard-capped at 25 participants with no slider.

A Free hub that nobody uses is taken offline, then removed, on a fixed schedule. Paid hubs, and any hub that has ever been on a paid plan, are never on it.

Activity is a person using the hub: the owner or a member signing in, a member submitting a tip, a hub admin changing something, or someone joining. Automated activity doesn’t count. That covers score updates, results arriving, scheduled emails and reminders, and anything Fanzava staff do on your hub.

Days are counted from the last activity. Each step happens no earlier than the day shown, and each one also waits for the step before it, so a hub never goes offline until 30 days after its warning was sent.

Day What happens
60 We email the hub owner a warning. The hub stays online.
90 The hub goes offline. Visitors see that it’s unavailable. Nothing is deleted, and the owner gets a second email saying how to restore it and by when.
120 The hub is removed and can no longer be restored from the hub itself. Contact support before day 150 if you need it back.
150 The hub and its data are permanently deleted.

Emails go to the hub owner’s address. If that address can’t receive mail, the schedule still runs, so keep it current in Admin → Settings.

Signing in is enough, or choose Keep my hub open in the warning email. Up to day 90, any activity resets the clock to day zero, including after a warning has gone out. From day 90 the hub is offline and needs reactivating (below), and from day 120 only support can bring it back.

Between day 90 and day 120, sign in as a hub admin, open your hub’s address and choose Reactivate my hub. Every competition, member and result comes back exactly as it was.

  • A hub with a competition that is open or running
  • A hub on any paid plan, or that has ever been on one
  • A hub holding a Season Pass or Bracket Pass

Retention is set per hub from its plan, and is stamped on each log entry when it is written.

Plan Retention period
Free 90 days
Starter, Growth, Pro, Scale 1 year
Enterprise 2 years, configurable up to 7 years

Once a hub has held a paid plan, it keeps the one-year floor even if it later returns to Free. Enterprise hubs configure retention from Admin → Settings → Security → Audit log retention.

Analytics history is retained separately: 90 days on Free, 1 year on Starter and Growth, 2 years on Pro, 3 years on Scale, and a custom period on Enterprise.

  1. Go to Admin → Billing → Plans
  2. Click Upgrade on the plan you want
  3. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. You’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. If your current participant count or feature usage exceeds the lower plan’s limits, Fanzava warns you and requires you to reduce usage before the downgrade completes.

Switch to annual billing in Admin → Billing → Billing cycle. You’re charged for twelve months upfront and pay the equivalent of ten.

If you run one season a year rather than year-round, a Season Pass or Bracket Pass is a one-off purchase for that season instead of a subscription. Bands, what’s included, and how a pass converts to a plan mid-season are on the Fanzava pricing page.

Fanzava accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) processed securely through Stripe. Enterprise customers can arrange invoice-based billing.

Download past invoices from Admin → Billing → Invoices. Invoices are also emailed to your billing email address after each charge.
